“I used Brie as my midwife for my third birth and first home birth. From my first appointment (which was almost 1/2 way through my pregnancy) until my last postpartum appointment she was absolutely amazing. I had many questions and fears. She was always patient and explained things to me in a way I understood. My appointments never felt rushed. They were always thorough and casual.During my labor baby and I both had a few scary moments and I didn’t even know to be nervous because Brie was direct and calm during everything. I felt safer at home then I would’ve at the hospital.
After baby arrived she had swallowed some meconium. Baby and I were both well looked after. I was always completely Informed and reassured. Even with a trip to the hospital for baby, I wouldn’t change a thing. Brie was the presence I needed with me. I would use her again 1000% if we decide to have baby #4.”

My family and I have hired Brie as our midwife for the past two babies I’ve delivered and we have known her for over 5 years. It’s hard to express how instrumental she was in making those experiences (pregnancy through postpartum care) so magical for me. The knowledge, care, love and understanding she provides during prenatal visits leaves you feeling calm and capable. She quiets any fears or anxieties with her impressive breadth of knowledge and extensive experience. Her devotion to instilling in a new mother a sense of confidence in her new role is so loving. I felt held and seen and I still tear up every time I get the pleasure of remembering details of my homebirths with Brie. “Brie has attended my two most recent births, both of which were at my home. I can’t imagine that any midwife could possibly do a better job than Brie. Her bedside manner is impeccable. She is respectful and warm always, while also being very straight forward. She is also calm, cool and collected, even when the situation is tense. When my first home-born baby needed a little support to start breathing, Brie was so reassuring and serene that I knew everything was under control. When it was clear to her that waiting for him to “come online” without assistance was no longer appropriate, she took swift action without becoming frazzled and immediately stabilized him.
Brie’s knowledge of pregnancy, birth, motherhood, mental health, and all of the myriad other facets of this journey is unparalleled. Even with that being said, it is clear that she is also committed to constantly learning and growing in her craft. My step father who is a doctor and my mom who is an NP have attended both of my births with Brie, and they have been consistently impressed with her mastery of the medical portion of prenatal care and birth. Lastly, Brie is simply a wonderful person who is a joy to be around. She holds firm boundaries in a soft way and was clearly born to do this work. I am so incredibly grateful to have her in mine and my family’s lives!”

“I have had the most joy and privilege having Brie as my midwife for both my children. Not only is she very professional but I consider her as a friend with how personable she is. She values and respects your views and does not push her own. She gives advice when asked as well as informed consent so that you can make the right decision for yourself and your baby. One thing I love about Brie, she makes it convenient for you by coming to you home for the first few post natal visits. I didn’t have to pack up my daughter and newborn to go to a doctors office to be seen especially after giving birth. I also love how confident she is. She knows what she is doing and shows no hesitation when it comes to making the right decision for mom and baby. In my own personal experience, Brie was so proactive that I had no idea the seriousness of my situation. Baby was stuck, I was hemorrhaging, but with how sharp and knowledgeable Brie is, she was able to make the right decision and deliver my baby with no issues.
The fact that I went on to have another home birth after my first just shows you how comfortable and safe you feel with Brie as your midwife. She doesn’t mess around when it comes to the safety of you and your baby. If she sees something she doesn’t like, she will give you the help you need, whether that being a transfer or a certain medical intervention, she has your best interest at heart. She is very encouraging, extremely passionate about what she does and most importantly she is a safe place while you are at your most vulnerable.”

“Brie was everything you could want in a midwife! From the moment I met Brie I felt extremely comfortable like I was chatting with my best friend. As the weeks went by I was able to see her truly shine in her midwifery knowledge! She kept me informed of my risks, checked in on my mental health, and from start to finish was completely professional! I experienced many days of false labor and that gave me anxiety! To ease my mind she came to my house and talked and walked with me for hours! Later that night/early morning baby arrived! As I was laboring she had me contract in positions to put baby in the perfect position, then I got in the tub and had the home water birth I had dreamed of! My kids, husband and family surrounded me in prayers as Brie caught my sweet baby boy! It was an absolutely perfect birth experience!”
