Newborns…….. 

Newborns are special. We all know this. It’s their smell. Their sounds, The way they hold a room just by being a part of it. Have you ever looked into the eyes of a newborn baby? I mean, really looked. It’s one of my favorite things in the world. When you look into the soulful eyes of a baby you will see a person born knowing. They carry the wisdom of the ages… the wisdom of generations within them. I feel this truth in my bones. I believe we are born with all of the answers and we lose that wisdom as speech develops. These babies are human beings having their first human experiences while in my care. Sometimes, I am the first set of human hands on them- that is an enormous responsibility and one I do not take lightly. 

I practice newborn care with respect and absolute reverence. Families are welcomed and encouraged to be involved in all newborn assessments. I will ask permission before I touch your baby, and will also explain the exam to your baby as I perform it. It’s not that I think your baby understands everything I’m saying, but I do believe they understand my intent. Cranial sacral sessions for newborns are never an additional charge and are included in care up to 6 weeks of age. 

It is important to me that I provide clinically thorough care as well as space for human beings to have peaceful, respected, gentle beginnings enabling them to enter the world into love. Gentle beginnings lead to gentle parenting. Gentle parenting leads to gentle humans. Gentle humans change the world <3
